Our friends in Eastern Oregon have been battling the migrating gray wolves this past year and losing that battle because of Western Oregon's (the urban part of the state) failure to perceive the danger. Finally, Senator Doug Whitsett is trying to do something to protect their state's wildlife and livestock. His reference to the Siberian Animal Apocalypse should make the hair on the back of our necks stand up -- for many reasons!
A Siberian town of 1400 people is being terrorized by a pack of 400 wolves. Note the reference to "everyone WHO CAN HOLD A RIFLE is mobilized to fight the wolves". I hope you are old enough to remember that most Siberians did not have guns in the old USSR.
Most of us learned about firearms and our Second Amendment rights because we learned to hunt. If there are no game animals left to hunt, who do you think will protect our right to bare arms in the next generation? WHO IS REALLY BEHIND LETTING LARGE ANIMAL PREDATORS RUN LOOSE LIKE PETS TO DECIMATE OUR WILDLIFE HERDS?
